Our Story

 

VYB (Voice Your Body) Dance Company was founded in 2007 by a group of talented performers in the Tampa Bay area who believe they could use dance to make difference in their community.

While VYB started off specializing and excelling with Hip Hop and Commercial style adult classes, in 2017 we expanded our capabilities to offer youth classes in all dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Acrobatics & Musical Theater to dancers as young as 3.

VYB prides itself in our achievements at both the Regional and National level. Our Adult Company has competed at World of Dance Atlanta and received accolades such as 'Best Theme' and First Place; while our Junior Team has won 'Best of Tampa' at Streetz Dance Convention in 2018,2019, & 2021.

VYB thrives on making a mark with our urban feel leaving our audiences inspired and wanting more. Teaching weekly classes, performing for special events and organizing community functions, the culturally diverse group of performers are well-trained in various styles of dance, making them relevant to any atmosphere.
